ABOUT THIS POSITION
In this position, you will:
- Serve as the main point of contact for projects from project pursuit, pre-design, design, through construction completion.
- Present project information to clients, boards, and community stakeholders.
- Direct team members both internally and consultant teammates.
- Be proactive when problem solving, and take a leadership role in design.
- Manage project schedule, budget, and scope.
- Participate in the proposal process as the face of the project during pre-project meetings, walk-through’s, and interviews.
- Work collaboratively with senior firm management during all phases of the project.
In this position, you may occasionally:
- Support our wonderful marketing team in pursuit of new projects, new clients, or general marketing. For example attending events, providing your input on thought leadership pieces, or snagging great visual content for use in various marketing materials.
- Get the opportunity to help develop new design tools for the construction and design field as part of our internal innovation group.
- Enjoy the (more than) occasional company lunch out around Framingham or elsewhere as we like to try new restaurants as a group and Friday often seems like a good day to do that.
You’d be great for this position
- You have experienced at, or ready to be, the Project Manager and/or a Project Architect.
- You’re experienced at, or ready to be, the face of the project team.
- You’re experienced at, or ready to lead a team of design professionals, plan, schedule, and keep projects on track.
- You have great communication skills, written, oral, presentation, and across media platforms.
- You enjoy working as a team, and can direct, coach, and mentor others.
- You have a solid understanding of the design and construction process.
- You are able to travel to project sites within Massachusetts generally.
It’s even better if you:
- Have experience working on higher education projects.
- Have experience with the public c149 design-bid-build process.
- Registered Architect license.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- MCPPO certification.
