Morrill Research Lab
The Morrill Science Center at UMass Amherst houses many research laboratory facilities. This particular project converted several older under utilized and out dated laboratory spaces for use as a modern atmospheric sciences research laboratory including elements of biology and geology.
The main laboratory space provides sample prep, storage and experimentation functions. A specialty process room provides a sterilized space for highly sensitive experimentation on site. The space also features a lounge and office space.
Quick connect reconfigurable laboratory furniture is used in the layout to allow for flexibility as experimentation processes and research changes demand modification. This also expedited installation of the equipment enabling the project to meet an aggressive timeline.
